What's New for 2010
New for the U10’s:
  • Each player will have an extended evaluation period that starts within the clinics and runs through the first week or two of practices.
  • Coaches will be asked to be present during clinics, evaluation day & all practices.
  • After evaluation day, the coaches and players will have practices together for no more than two weeks. During this time, coaches will be working with the players to monitor skill level and developmental needs.
  • A draft will occur after the combined practices conclude; the head coaches and an assistant coach will be present for the draft.
  • The top 24 players will be split equally into two “AA” teams.
  • If enough additional players remain, a single “A” team may be created. Note: If all players are nine and under we will look into placing them in a 9 and under league. Communication with coaches and parents will be a deciding factor.

Note:

  • No requests for coaches will be allowed in the 2010 season. The Head coach may choose one assistant coach. After teams are selected other assistants may be solicited.
  • Also, no requests will be accepted for players to be “paired” with teammates they might prefer.

Tournament Costs:

The River Falls Youth Baseball Board will pay up to $700.00 for tournaments outside of River Falls. If a team qualifies for state, by taking first or second in their division or taking first or second in a qualifying tournament, the board will pay fees including the gate fee of 150.00. (State Fees: U12’s = $295, U13’s = $330 and U14’s & U15’s = $350) If a team is asked to play in state tournament by default, the board will not pay for their entry or gate fees. Exception: If a team chooses to play in only one tournament and has a balance left over from the $700.00, the board will apply the balance towards state fees.

Want to be a 2010 Sponsors to RFYBO

The River Falls Youth Baseball Organization strives to provide a safe, rewarding and fun environment for youth to develop skills and learn the fundamentals of baseball. In addition to registration fees, concession stand sales, and various other fundraising activities, RFYBO relies on the financial support of the community. Sponsor donations help to supplement the costs of operating the league, specifically in areas such as equipment, uniforms, umpire fees, field maintenance, and other various operating expenses. By making the commitment to donate, sponsors are not only promoting the development of youth baseball, but they are also receiving additional exposure to help advertise and market their business.

Company names will be placed on all participant t-shirts, will appear in tournament programs/correspondence, and will be placed on the RFYBO website with a link to the company’s website (if available). Each sponsor will also receive a plaque with the team picture to display as an active member of the community. Don’t forget that corporate contributions are tax-deductible.

Become a River Falls Youth Baseball Organization sponsor by clicking here to complete an application or contact RFYBO at Wildcat.Baseball@riverfallsyouthbaseball.org. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
